Retiform Hemangioendothelioma Originating in the Paranasal Sinus: A Case Report

Retiform hemangioendothelioma (RHE) is an extremely rare low-grade variant of angiosarcoma that mostly involves the dermis or subcutaneous tissue, but which has never been reported in paranasal sinus. A 53-year-old woman with problems a palpable lump on left lower eyelid and anosmia visited to our hospital. An expansile mass was observed frontoethmoid sinus radiologic images, suspected be attributable bony erosion orbital wall intracranial expansion. Endoscopic surgery performed remove mass. Histopathologically, tissues were infiltrated by arborizing vessels arranged retiform pattern. The immunohistochemistry also showed positive result for CD31 partial Ki-67. Because recurrence 4 months after surgery, chemoradiotherapy following second operation performed. Ultimately, we report case RHE nasal cavity.
